Job summary

Zenix Aerospace AMT/Damar is a leading aerospace manufacturer seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure product conformance to customer and industry standards. The role includes leadership of QE/QA staff and interface with customers and suppliers while promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities cover audits, document control, supplier management, CAPA, and defect disposition in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 10 years Quality Assurance/Inspection experience in aerospace, or 5 years QA with related degree.
• Proficiency in MS Office products and email systems.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret Engineering Drawings and specifications at an advanced level; fluent GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Maintains working knowledge of AS9100 / AS9102 standards.
• Reads and interprets engineering drawings and specifications; understands GD&T.
• Performs internal audits and prepares audit reports.
• Applies PO Quality clauses to products in MRP system.
• Maintains the AMT Approved Supplier List.
• Reviews manufacturing plans/NRCs and approves per specs.
• Reviews and approves CIRs and CRRs as needed.
• Prepares First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102.
• Provides technical input for disposition of rejected product.
• Submits nonconforming product to customers.
• Analyzes rejection history and reports to management.
• Issues Corrective Action Requests and documents CA effectiveness.
• Presents information to staff; interfaces with customers.
