Job summary

Zenix Aerospace AMT/Damar is seeking a Quality Engineer for the Monroe, WA facility. The role covers quality systems, customer/spec compliance, audits, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing to ensure product conformance to AS9100/AS9102 standards.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, GD&T applications, and leading corrective actions. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills, with commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10 years QA/Inspection experience in aerospace or 5 years QA with related degree.
• Proficiency in MS Office and email systems.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings and specifications at an advanced level.
• Fluent understanding of GD&T.
• Documented internal audit experience.
• Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis and RCCA methods.
• Experience navigating ERP/CAD environments (Catia/Enovia).
• Hands-on inspection of aircraft structural parts.
• Engineering degree or ASQ certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of customer and industry quality standards (AS9100 / AS9102).
• Reads and interprets engineering drawings and specifications.
• Understands GD&T.
• Performs internal audits and prepares audit reports.
• Applies PO Quality clauses in MRP system.
• Maintains the AMT Approved Supplier List.
• Reviews manufacturing plans and NRCs for compliance.
• Reviews and approves CIRs and CRRs as needed.
• Prepares First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102.
