Job summary

Zenix Aerospace AMT/Damar is seeking a Quality Engineer (level 1–Senior QE) to ensure products meet customer and industry requirements. You will lead audits, interpret engineering drawings, apply PO quality clauses, and maintain supplier lists, working across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Responsibilities include conducting internal audits, managing nonconformances, and supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10 years Quality Assurance/Inspection experience in aerospace or 5 years QA with related degree
• Proficiency in MS Office products and email systems
• Ability to read, understand and interpret Engineering Drawings and specifications at an advanced level
• Fluent understanding of GD&T
• Documented internal audit experience
• Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis and RCCA methodology/tools
• Basic navigation in CAD environments (Catia/Enovia) and ERP systems
• Hands-on inspection experience of aircraft structural parts
• Engineering degree or ASQ certification

Responsibilities

• Maintains a working knowledge of customer and industry quality standards (AS9100 / AS9102).
• Reads and interprets engineering drawings and specifications.
• Understands GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
• Performs internal audits to verify conformance to AMT requirements and prepares audit reports.
• Applies PO Quality clauses to applicable product in MRP system.
• Maintains the AMT Approved Supplier List.
• Reviews manufacturing plans/NRCs and approves based on compliance with specs.
• Reviews and approves CIRs and CRRs as needed.
• Prepares First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102.
• Provides technical input for internal disposition on rejected product.
• Submits nonconforming product to customers.
• Analyzes rejection history and provides data to management.
• Issues corrective action requests and verifies effectiveness.
• Presents information to internal staff and interfaces with customers.
• Supports QA and manufacturing personnel on quality issues.
• Follows safety guidelines and company policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
