Parker Aerospace in North Ogden, Utah is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to obtain the best quality, service, and value through bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. You will identify needs, select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and arrange delivery across high-dollar parts and services.

The role requires strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with focus on timely procurement, cost control, and compliance with government and industry regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field required.
• Six or more years of progressively responsible related experience.
• Certificate in Purchasing Management (CPM) or APICS desired.
• Knowledge of purchasing and negotiating methods, principles and concepts.
• Proficient with standard business software and purchasing/mats systems.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and recommends suppliers by researching parts, equipment, and materials availability.
• Conducts supplier site visits and evaluates production capability and delivery.
• Evaluates proposals and negotiates price, delivery, and terms.
• Prepares purchase orders and manages contracts to conclusion.
• Monitors supplier performance and resolves quality discrepancies.
