Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine, LLC in Newnan, GA, is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to lead repair process development for turbine components and drive manufacturing improvements. You will guide projects across engineering, operations, and quality to optimize processes, cost, and quality, while supporting NPI activities and production transitions.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace/manufacturing engineering, strong Lean and problem-solving skills, and experience with repair processes such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years aerospace, industrial gas turbine, or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience developing or supporting repair processes such as brazing, plating, coating, welding, or other aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
• Experience driving process improvements through Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze production challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Experience supporting product development, production support, and process maturation activities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment, including FAA or similar quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and improvement of repair processes for turbine, compressor, and combustor components.
• Provide technical support for production operations, troubleshooting manufacturing and process-related challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools and problem-solving methodologies.
• Lead projects focused on process optimization, cost reduction, quality improvement, and capacity enhancement.
• Own technical aspects of assigned production processes and implement sustainable process improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Commercial teams to develop and industrialize new repair solutions.
• Identify, develop, and implement tooling, equipment, and process improvements.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, procedures, and manufacturing documentation.
• Present project updates, technical findings, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities and transition new repairs into production.
