Job summary

Chromalloy in Windsor, CT is seeking a Production Engineer to support the repair and overhaul of critical gas turbine engine components. You will provide day-to-day engineering support, lead root cause investigations, and drive process improvements to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 3+ years' manufacturing experience. Strong problem-solving, CAD/3D modeling skills, and collaboration with operations and maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a science-based discipline.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting production processes and implementing process improvements.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with root cause investigations.
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling software such as Siemens NX or similar CAD platforms.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support for production operations, including troubleshooting, yield improvement, rework reduction, and disposition of non-conforming material.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective action activities to improve quality, performance, and process reliability.
• Drive production readiness and process capability for manufacturing equipment within assigned process areas.
• Design, develop, and implement tooling, fixtures, gauges, and process improvements that enhance productivity and quality.
• Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, operating procedures, training materials, and quality records.
• Support employee training on equipment operation, process controls, and best practices.
• Partner with maintenance teams to develop and improve preventive maintenance programs for critical production equipment.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
