Job summary

Xometry is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Engineer to support Sales with technical leadership in aerospace and defense manufacturing. This role blends customer engagement, engineering expertise, and project management to drive complex opportunities from discovery through delivery.

You'll partner with Account Executives, gather customer insights, prepare competitive quotes, and oversee projects while traveling 25-35% to customer or partner sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in aerospace and defense engineering and manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience using Xometry’s services from a customer perspective.
• Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100d, ITAR and NIST compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention.
• Discover, illuminate, digest, organize and execute major projects.
• Join Account Executives in onsite visits with customers when appropriate.
• Proactively identify and address potential manufacturing challenges (including DFM).
• Gather customer insights to inform sales strategies and quotes.
