Job summary

Xometry is seeking an experienced and charismatic Senior Solutions Engineer to join the pre-sales organization. This role blends customer engagement, technical acumen, and project management to support Sales and deliver capabilities for aerospace and defense customers.

You will partner with Account Executives to drive growth, gather customer insights, and help craft competitive quotes while traveling 25%-35% to customer or partner sites in the Mountain or Pacific time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of aerospace/defense engineering experience.
• Experience with Xometry services or partner perspective is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100d, ITAR, NIST and related compliance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention.
• Discover, illuminate, digest, organize and execute major projects.
• Join Account Executives in onsite visits with customers when appropriate.
• Proactively identify and address manufacturing challenges (including DFM).
• Stay informed about customer projects to align with Xometry's capabilities.
• Assist Pre-Sales Engineering with knowledge gathering and quotes.
• Provide project management and oversight on complex opportunities.
