Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in the United States is seeking an engineer for the Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) team on-site in Middletown, CT. You will design and support composite components across the design cycle, lead cross-functional projects, and drive manufacturing readiness with suppliers while managing scope, schedule, and budget.

Travel approx 10% is anticipated. The role emphasizes rigorous engineering problem solving, CAD proficiency, and clear communication with customers and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years' relevant experience in Defense/Aerospace or related industries, OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Composite design support across all phases of the design cycle, preliminary through detailed design, validation, manufacturing, and operational service.
• Lead cross-functional engineering projects by managing scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables to achieve program milestones.
• Lead engineering change execution, risk assessments, and mitigation planning to reduce cost, schedule, and technical exposure.
