Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking a results-driven Commodity Manager to own end-to-end strategic sourcing and supplier management for key aerospace commodities, enabling program growth, cost competitiveness, quality and on-time delivery across new product introduction and sustaining production.

You will select suppliers, lead negotiations, develop procurement plans, and monitor performance while collaborating with engineering, program management and quality teams to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 6+ years of strategic sourcing/category management experience, ideally in aerospace or complex manufacturing.
• Proven success negotiating LTAs and managing supplier relationships for engineered components/assemblies.
• Strong commercial acumen with TCO, should-cost, cost breakdowns, and indexation model.
• Working knowledge of Aerospace quality systems and tools (AS9100, AS9145/APQP, PPAP, FAI, NADCAP processes).
• Proven cross-functional leadership, project management, and problem-solving (8D/A3/Lean Six Sigma).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive-ready presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Directs all phases of the subcontract from initiation of the business case for make or buy decisions through RFPs and subcontract management plans.
• Develops procurement plans, make/buy analysis, sources of supply, and cost reduction opportunities.
• Selects qualified suppliers and develops new supply sources for high-value, long lead time parts and services.
• Maintains customer and program office communications regarding performance and cost.
• Negotiates prices and terms; conducts market surveys and bidder conferences; prepares subcontracts and amendments.
• Administers subcontracts, tracks spend against budget, and ensures compliance with terms.
• Conducts supplier site visits and supplier certification activities; leads cross-functional teams.
