Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in aero acoustics. You will design and develop advanced mechanical systems, drive acoustic innovations, and work on hybrid schedules reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities include improving acoustic tools, performing analyses and testing, and guiding product acoustic design from concept to certification, with strong collaboration across teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 5+ years of experience in acoustic engineering analysis and design.
• Aero-acoustic design experience related to rotating machinery and installations, preferably gas turbine engines, and familiarity with duct acoustics in high-speed flows.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and improving acoustic analysis and test tools.
• Performing acoustic analyses.
• Performing acoustic testing.
• Performing aerodynamic analyses (aeroacoustics).
• Designing acoustic features of products and their installations.
• Creating and delivering technical presentations and reports.
• Supporting the certification of products.
