Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer – Aerodynamics & Thermal in Phoenix, AZ designs and develops advanced mechanical systems, performs CFD/CHT analyses, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance.

The role requires strong aerodynamics and heat transfer background, experience with NX and CFD tools, and excellent communication. Hybrid work at home and in-office in Phoenix with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 5 years' experience in a technical discipline, can include graduate studies.
• US Citizen or lawful permanent resident due to export control restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Aerodynamic and thermodynamic analyses using both 1D and 3D methods.
• Computer Aided Design using NX software.
• Aerodynamic and thermodynamic testing, including instrumentation specification, test plan and results report writing and data post-processing.
• Improving aerodynamic and thermal analysis and test tools
• Internal and external customer support with occasional travel.
• Technical presentations and report writing.
