Howard University in Washington, DC, invites applications for the Senior Advising Services Coordinator within the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts Center for Student Success.

You will provide comprehensive academic advising, support, and admissions services to continuing and prospective students, including those facing difficult circumstances. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or work experience directly related to advising responsibilities.
• Minimum five years of experience in advising or related academic functions in higher education.
• Strong communication, organization and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise students individually and in groups on core and departmental requirements.
• Coordinate admission processing for the College with the Registrar liaison.
• Maintain advising records, confidential evaluations, and program schemes.
• Lead orientation and training for staff; supervise and review work.
• Utilize WorkDay, BisonHub and HU systems to support enrollment and graduation tracking.
• Attend college fairs and meetings related to student success initiatives.
