Job summary

Texas Oncology in Denton is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Hematology and Oncology team. This is a full-time role supporting the Denton location, with typical hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.

to 5 p.m. The APP will contribute across the care continuum, collaborating with physicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered cancer care in a warm, team-oriented environment that values ongoing learning and innovation.

Qualifications

• Masters of Science in Nursing and successful NP program completion.
• RN state licensure and current board registration.
• NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants or equivalent.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
• Initiates and documents interventions; prescribes therapies as indicated.
• Performs procedures after appropriate training.
• Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.
• Promotes wellness and connects patients with community resources.
• Incorporates evidence-based practice and current research.
• Develops knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation.
• Completes patient charge capture and medical records in a timely fashion.
• May provide case management for patients and families.
• May provide staff education.
• Rounding at affiliated hospitals and weekend or after-hour calls.
• Other duties as assigned.
