Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Community Oncology Program. You will provide outpatient oncology/hematology care with physicians, nurses, and staff in a collaborative setting across multiple specialties.

The role emphasizes patient follow-up, symptom management, education, and care coordination, with potential coverage at additional community locations. Oncology passion and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year oncology/hematology experience.
  • Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program or Master's in Nursing with APRN and Texas licensure.
  • NCCPA certification or Texas APRN licensure with prescriptive authority. ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive initial and ongoing physical exams based on age/diagnosis.
  • Develops and evaluates patient care plans with labs, imaging, and tests.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in procedures as appropriate.
  • Provides management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients and families.
  • Participates in quality initiatives and clinical research within the program.
  • Collaborates on research protocols and applies evidence-based practice.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
