Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our oncology team in a PRN capacity. The APP will cover Solid Tumor Oncology and Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT), with potential opportunities to support Neuro-Oncology.

The APP will assess, diagnose, and manage oncology patients, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and coordinate treatment plans across outpatient and inpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of oncology experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is required.
• Licensure: NCCPA certification or RN/APRN licensure with prescriptive authority as applicable.
• Graduate education: master’s degree in PA or nursing; ARC-PA accredited PA program.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive physical examinations and documents findings.
• Develops and implements patient care plans; orders and interprets labs and imaging.
• Educates patients and families; coordinates treatment and follow-up care.
• Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams; participates in quality initiatives and research.
• Performs other duties as assigned as needed.
