Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Newton, NC to lead a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians. You will drive capex planning, process benchmarking, and continuous improvement across plant operations while aligning with divisional specifications and safety standards.

You will oversee lifecycle manufacturing programs, partner with Supply Chain and Commercial teams for SIOP/MPS, and ensure manufacturing readiness for new programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering leadership role, preferably automotive.
• Strong background in capex planning and project management.
• Experience with process development, industrialization and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership to a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
• Benchmark processes and standardize best practices across sites.
• Manage capex requirements and track spending vs. budgets.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure equipment meets specs and safety standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and performance.
• Deliver SOPs, PFMEAs, stage drawings, and other MS deliverables.
• Consolidate budgets and track compliance and cost control.
• Support NBA activities with cost and tooling estimates.
• Develop standard processes and cycle times at Start of Production.
