Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Senior Advanced Controls Engineer to advance manufacturing through control systems and automation. The role is based at the Torrance, California location, on-site only, reporting to leadership and driving continuous improvement.

The candidate will design and deploy Ignition-based SCADA/HMI solutions, develop PLC logic, integrate with SQL databases, and support production environments. Strong PLC/SCADA knowledge and Python scripting are required.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of manufacturing control systems including PLCs, SCADA, and DCS platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with a focus on controls.
Proven experience in advanced manufacturing engineering with control systems and automation.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, deploy, and support industrial control systems and automation solutions.
Configure Ignition SCADA/HMI applications for the production shop.
Develop Ignition projects including interfaces, dashboards, alarms, trends, and reporting.
Configure Ignition Gateway services, tags, UDTs, alarms, and database connections.
Develop PLC control logic and integrate PLCs with Ignition via OPC UA.
