Job summary

ATC Automation, located in Simi Valley, CA, is seeking a Mid-Senior Controls Engineer to design, develop, and support custom automation equipment across multiple industries. The role requires proficiency with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi), HMIs, robotics, and vision systems, plus AutoCAD Electrical for schematics.

The position is full-time onsite with opportunities for growth and advancement, reporting to the Business Unit Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum five years in custom automation or industrial controls.
Strong PLC, HMI, motion control, robotics, and networks.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, program, troubleshoot, and support industrial automation systems.
Read, interpret, and create electrical/pneumatic schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
Design, develop, and debug control programs for machinery and manufacturing processes.
Travel to customer facilities for installation, troubleshooting, and support.
Support installation, startup, commissioning, and validation of automation systems.
