Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Torrance, CA seeks a Senior Advanced Controls Engineer to advance manufacturing processes through control systems and automation technologies. You will optimize production efficiency, improve product quality, and drive continuous improvement across operations.

Reporting to the leadership team, you will deploy scalable automation, integrate Ignition/SCADA, PLCs, and data-driven decision making to support innovation and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing control systems including PLCs, SCADA, and DCS platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited technical program (engineering, mathematics, science).
• Proven experience in advanced manufacturing engineering focused on control systems and automation technologies.
• Experience with Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and HMI development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support industrial control systems and automation solutions.
• Configure Ignition SCADA/HMI applications in the production shop.
• Develop Ignition projects including dashboards, alarms, trends, and reporting.
