Qualifications

• General understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to travel to off-site physician practices.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes.
• Customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Verify patient has funding to cover services and schedule surgery when appropriate.
• Respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with clinicians and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Assist with scheduling and related administrative tasks as needed.
