Job summary

UCI Health, the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, seeks an Admitting Representative to interview patients and gather complete demographic and insurance information to complete registrations efficiently at our Orange County campuses.

The role involves obtaining authorizations, collecting payments on deductible accounts, and preparing admitting packets. Strong attention to detail, customer service experience, and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous acute care hospital or related experience.
• Knowledge in Medical Terminology.
• Previous Admitting registration or Business Office experience.
• Previous Customer Service experience.
• Computer and typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Interview and collect complete demographic and insurance information to complete registration efficiently.
• Obtain authorizations and collect monies on cash or deductible accounts.
• Complete admitting packets with all required forms for the department.
• Obtain signatures on registration forms and scan documents.
• Verify insurance and route charts to the correct departments.
