Job summary

Experience Champaign Urbana seeks an experienced admissions leader to support the Director of Admissions in executing the university's recruitment plan. You will oversee technology systems, review workflows in Slate, and train screeners and finalists to ensure high-quality decisions.

You will develop robust reports from application data to guide strategy and quality improvement, lead multiple improvement projects, and manage on-campus and virtual recruitment events.

Qualifications

• Experience leading admissions teams and coordinating a recruitment plan.
• Ability to develop robust reports from application data to inform strategy.
• Experience with admissions technology systems and vendor software.
• Knowledge of compliance with university standards and LCME expectations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior leader on the Admissions Team and support the Director of Admissions in implementing the admissions and recruitment plan.
• Develop robust reports using current and closed cycle data to inform strategy and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Lead and manage multiple continuous quality improvement projects related to the application process and recruitment strategy
• Serve as the primary lead for all admissions-related technology systems, including third-party vendor software.
• Manage all aspects of the application review process including training screeners and finalists, coordinating the review workflows for all applications in Slate, oversee the finalist list, and release all admissions decisions.
• Serve as primary point of contact for MD/PhD and joint degree program admissions.
• Lead the operational oversight of the admissions team, including training for the Admissions Committee, Admission Screeners and Finalist Reviewers.
• Oversee development and implementation of data-driven recruitment and yield strategies.
• Plan and implement on-campus and virtual events for applicants and admitted students.
• Advise prospective and accepted students through the application process.
• Supervise recruitment staff, including assigning and overseeing work, providing guidance and coaching, supporting professional development, and completing performance management responsibilities.
• Oversee and interpret admissions policies to ensure compliance with university and LCME standards.
• Serve as liaison with Legal Counsel and DRES for compliance and accommodations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships; promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and nondiscriminatory practices.
• Maintain relationships across the college’s internal and external partners; occasional travel and evening/weekend work may be required.
