Job summary

Carle Illinois College of Medicine is seeking an Associate Director of Admissions to lead admissions operations, manage communication programs for prospective students, and oversee joint degree admissions processes. This role reports to the Director of Admissions and will drive data-informed strategies to improve yield and equity across programs.

The position requires strong project management, supervisory experience, and expertise with admissions technology (Slate, AMCAS, and related tools).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, education, humanities, public relations, social sciences, or closely related field.
• 3 years of professional work experience in admissions, records, registration, and/or closely related experience within an educational setting.
• Demonstrated experience with data metrics and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior leader on the Admissions Team and support the Director of Admissions in implementing all aspects of the admissions and recruitment plan.
• Lead and manage multiple continuous quality improvement projects related to the application process and recruitment strategy.
• Serve as the primary lead for all admissions-related technology systems, including third-party vendor software.
• Manage all aspects of the application review process including training screeners and finalists, coordinating the review workflows in Slate, oversee the finalist list, and release all admissions decisions.
• Oversee development and implementation of data-driven recruitment and yield strategies.
• Plan and execute on-campus and virtual events for applicants and admitted students.
• Advise prospective and accepted students through the application process.
• Supervise recruitment staff and oversee performance management.
