Job summary

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, in partnership with Carle Illinois College of Medicine, seeks an Associate Director of Admissions to provide operational leadership for the admissions process and its technology systems. The role oversees recruitment, staff supervision, and joint degree program admissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, education, humanities, public relations, social sciences, or closely related field.
• Three (3) years of professional work experience in admissions, records, registration, and/or closely related experience within an educational setting.
• Demonstrated experience with data metrics and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior leader on the Admissions Team and support the Director of Admissions in implementing all aspects of the admissions and recruitment plan.
• Develop robust reports using current and closed cycle data to inform strategy and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Lead and manage multiple continuous quality improvement projects related to the application process and recruitment strategy.
• Serve as primary point of contact for MD/PhD and joint degree program admissions.
• Lead the operational oversight of the admissions team, including training for the Admissions Committee, Admission Screeners and Finalist Reviewers.
• Oversee development and implementation of data-driven recruitment and yield strategies.
• Oversee planning and implementation of on-campus and virtual events for applicants and admitted students.
• Advise prospective and accepted students through the application process.
• Supervise recruitment staff, including assigning and overseeing work, providing guidance and coaching, supporting professional development, and completing performance management responsibilities.
