Senior Administrative Support Specialist (Administrative)

Join OU HSC, Oklahoma's premier research university leading in education and career opportunities. Under general supervision, performs administrative duties including resolving routine questions, filing, scheduling, reception, inventory management, typing, report preparation, and correspondence.

Duties:
  • Maintain confidential office files.
  • Schedule appointments and ensure administrative details are completed.
  • Handle incoming calls and refer to appropriate personnel.
  • Record messages or respond with routine information.
  • Serve as a contact for employees and the public.
  • Provide information on materials, resources, and services.
  • Monitor and order office supplies, complete requisitions.
  • Prepare, review, and respond to routine correspondence.
  • Prepare reports, make copies, and assemble materials.
  • Assist or act as payroll coordinator, including tracking leave, entering data into PeopleSoft, and processing pays.
  • Manage mail, run errands, and organize meetings and programs.
  • Make travel arrangements and perform related duties as assigned.

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: 24 months in office, clerical, or administrative roles.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of office procedures and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under stress and in a standard office environment.
