Job summary

Divergent is an innovative additive manufacturing company seeking a Senior Manager of Additive Manufacturing Operations to lead Factory 1, oversee safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and scale production across multiple sites in the United States. You will apply lean principles and data-driven decision making to drive world-class performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Proven success leading complex manufacturing operations.
• Lean Manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Experience using manufacturing data and metrics to drive decisions.
• Experience in startup or rapidly scaling manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to develop high-performing technical teams.
• Ability to operate within export control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Factory 1 additive manufacturing operations to world-class safety, quality, delivery, cost, and equipment reliability.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team with accountability, ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement.
• Drive daily management through standard work, visual management, problem solving, and operational rigor.
• Optimize flow by increasing uptime, eliminating bottlenecks, and maximizing throughput.
• Partner with Platform Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Automation to launch new equipment and capabilities.
• Develop dashboards and operating rhythms enabling rapid issue identification and resolution.
