Job summary

Beehive Industries in Knoxville, TN, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong additive manufacturing background to support production operations, including LPBF and MBJ, build preparation, process control, and scale-up in a high-precision environment. You will lead process development, qualification, and continuous improvement; work with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing controls and documentation are in place.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in automotive, aerospace, defense, propulsion, turbomachinery, additive manufacturing, machining, assembly, or complex mechanical systems environments.
• Experience developing, implementing, qualifying, and sustaining manufacturing processes in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as tight-tolerance machining, assembly, additive manufacturing, welding, inspection, or related advanced manufacturing methods.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing process execution, capability, and production readiness for assigned manufacturing areas, processes, products, or components
• Translate product manufacturing strategy and technical requirements into capable, repeatable production processes
• Lead process development and qualification across additive manufacturing, machining, assembly, inspection, post-processing, or related operations
• Lead production-readiness activities from NPI transfer through sustained production and ramp
• Monitor manufacturing performance including yield, cycle time, scrap, throughput, and equipment effectiveness
• Support low-rate initial production and ramp activities to achieve stable production systems
• Serve on cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, and delivery
