Job summary

Beehive Industries, LLC in Knoxville, TN, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Life-Cycle, to own manufacturing for assigned products from NPI to full-rate production. You will act as the manufacturing engineering authority and partner with Design Engineering, Plant Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Programs to ensure manufacturability and readiness.

You’ll drive DFM/DFA, define processes and tooling, and lead readiness activities while coordinating with IPTs to support growth and scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace/defense environments.
• Experience supporting products through NPI and production.
• Strong understanding of machining, assembly, additive manufacturing, welding, or related processes.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with design, operations and supply chain.
• Experience driving DFM/DFA and manufacturing readiness activities.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing engineering strategy and execution readiness from NPI through production.
• Drive DFM and DFA collaboration with Design Engineering teams.
• Define manufacturing processes, tolerances, tooling concepts, and workflows.
• Lead manufacturing planning and readiness activities for production transition.
• Support process implementation and scale-up with Plant Manufacturing Engineering.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing risks, issues, and constraints.
• Perform trade studies on cost, yield, throughput, and producibility.
• Support root cause investigations for manufacturing and quality issues.
• Coordinate across engineering, operations, quality, and program teams.
• Improve yield, cycle time, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing docs, work instructions, and standards.
• Serve on IPTs and support program reviews and milestone activities.
• Assist capacity planning and scalability initiatives for growth.
