Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Principal Additive Process Engineer to advance Metal Binder Jet technology for aerospace and defense applications at our Knoxville, Tennessee facility. You will lead process development, material optimization, and production readiness, driving scalable manufacturing capability and technical strategy.

You will mentor engineers, establish robust standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to deliver high-performance parts. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 12 years in additive manufacturing, MBJ/CBJ, metallurgy, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading complex engineering and manufacturing programs.
• Experience in aerospace/defense or highly regulated environments.
• Expert knowledge of MBJ/CBJ systems and production strategies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for MBJ processes, materials, and production readiness.
• Define strategies and roadmaps for additive capabilities and scalability.
• Establish and improve standards, controls, and technical docs.
• Lead solving complex powder metallurgy, laser-material interaction, and thermal management challenges.
• Develop production-ready processes including qualification and validation.
• Apply metallurgy expertise to optimize material properties and performance.
• Guide integration of MBJ into broader workflows including post-processing and quality systems.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across additive initiatives.
• Support equipment decisions, process improvements, and future technologies.
• Represent additive manufacturing in technical reviews with leadership and customers.
