Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Systems Capability Engineer to lead development and integration of automated driving technologies. You will drive cross-functional collaboration across hardware, software, and product teams, focusing on feature performance and end-to-end capability integration using simulation and real vehicles.

The role requires on-site presence 3 days per week with flexibility across GM sites, including Milford Proving Grounds.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, math, CS or equivalent.
2–4 years in engineering with complex electro-mechanical systems.
5+ years of technical/engineering experience.
Knowledge of active safety systems, vehicle performance and ADAS.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional teams to align hardware, software, and product stakeholders.
Analyze requirements with stakeholders; focus on feature performance.
Hands-on owner to test and integrate system capabilities via simulation and vehicles.
Triage test data to guide prioritization.
Create test cases linked to feature requirements.
Communicate issues clearly and balance workload.
Support agile development with quick, customer-focused changes.
