Job summary

General Motors in Milford, Michigan seeks an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Mission Planning and Motion Controls Software Engineer to design, develop, test and implement ADAS Lateral Control software for Super Cruise and other GM safety features.

You will collaborate across teams to deliver production-ready software across controllers, promoting reusable architecture and robust in-vehicle validation, including CI/CD, SIL/HIL, and field testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics/Software/Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience developing control systems and/or motion planner.
• Advanced skills in control systems design: robust, adaptive, nonlinear, and model-predictive controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms and real-time software for automated driving features (Lane Keep Assist, ACC, Super Cruise).
• Develop CI/CD pipelines to validate feature control performance for software changes.
• Conduct software verification and robust feature validation using unit testing, SIL/HIL, and in-vehicle testing.
