Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Systems Capability Engineer to lead development and integration of automated driving technologies at the Milford Proving Grounds. You will work at the intersection of hardware, software and the driver to define, develop and execute features that improve driving safety and move toward zero crashes.

The role requires onsite work three days per week with some flexibility between GM sites.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Physics, Math, CS or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of engineering experience with complex electro-mechanical systems.
• 5+ years of technical/engineering experience and knowledge of active safety systems, vehicle performance and ADAS.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
• Strong technical and non-technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-functional development teams to align with peers and downstream customers.
• Analyze and negotiate requirements with stakeholders; focus on feature performance.
• Hands-on capability owner testing and integrating system and feature levels.
• Triage/test data from simulation and vehicle testing to guide prioritization.
• Form test cases to enable a validation plan traced to feature requirements.
• Issue communication and help solve problems; balance workload.
• Apply structured problem-solving and agile development approaches.
