Job summary

Banner Health Sun City is seeking a Senior Acute Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation, compounding, distribution, and inventory management, working closely with pharmacists in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires two years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program.
• Knowledge of computer software, including medication management systems.
• Proficient in preparing compounded intravenous medications and sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Identify medications and items for reorder to maintain inventory.
• Manage users in automated dispensing technology database.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
• Restock medications to nursing and ancillary areas as allowed by policy.
• Compound non-sterile medications and IV admixtures following USP guidelines.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and perform quality control tasks.
• Handle hazardous drugs and controlled substances per policy.
