Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced registered nurse to perform concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient records at facilities in the Las Vegas area.

The role focuses on documenting care, severity of illness, and ensuring compliant reimbursement within the acute care setting. The ideal candidate holds an RN license, 5+ years of acute care experience, and strong clinical knowledge to support regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting; critical care, medical/surgical or ED preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pathology/physiology and inpatient admission criteria.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinically based concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient medical records to evaluate utilization and documentation of acute care services.
• Facilitates appropriate physician documentation to reflect severity of illness and risk of mortality for compliant reimbursement.
• Ensures compliance with payer/regulatory requirements and supports quality outcome reporting.
