Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree including courses in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, business, finance, economics, insurance, or computer science totaling at least 24 semester hours.
• Course work must include a minimum of 12 semester hours of mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
• Transcripts must be submitted to verify education.

Responsibilities

• Provide authoritative analysis, technical insight, advice and recommendations on complex, sensitive actuarial matters with national impact, proposed regulations and laws, and rulings and decisions that impact PBGC.
• Identify emerging issues requiring study with focus on multiemployer pension plans and prepare position papers for senior staff.
• Conduct briefing sessions on PBGC initiatives and policy changes; represent the Director at conferences on technical issues.
