Job summary

Oliver Wyman is recruiting a Consultant in the P&C Actuarial Insurance Practice. The role focuses on transforming actuarial models, analytics, and workflows for (re)insurance clients.

Expect collaboration across geographies, AI-enabled methods, and opportunities to work on pricing, reserving, and capital modeling. We seek candidates with 3+ years actuarial experience, a BA/BS in a related field, CAS exam progress, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education: BA/BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years actuarial experience with CAS credential progression (minimum 5 exams).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication to diverse audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to meet tight deadlines.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Experience with AI technologies for modeling and analytics.
• Programming knowledge: Python, R, SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead discrete workstreams within client engagements, applying actuarial expertise to address insurance challenges.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to inform actuarial, operational, and strategic decisions.
• Develop, evaluate, and refine actuarial methodologies, models, and analyses.
• Communicate complex actuarial concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with actuaries, engineers, data scientists and other specialists to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Ensure quality and regulatory alignment of outputs and processes.
