Job summary

Oliver Wyman's Actuarial Practice in the U.S. seeks a consultant to develop, validate, and operationalize actuarial models for pricing, reserving and capital modeling, leveraging AI where appropriate.

You will collaborate with clients and cross-disciplinary teams, guide governance, and deliver high-quality analyses while growing your CAS credentials and expanding your technical toolkit. The role offers hybrid work in major markets, a competitive compensation package, and comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• BA/BS in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics, finance, or related field.
• 3+ years actuarial experience with CAS credential pursuit (3+ exams).
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Data analytics: analyze large datasets to inform decisions.
• Provide insights into actuarial methodologies and governance.
• Engage with clients and senior stakeholders to translate findings.
• Collaborate with engineering to convert actuarial specs into technical requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and validate model outputs.
• Contribute to tools, processes, and methodologies to improve operations.
