Job summary

Athene is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (Actuarial IT) to modernize technology powering actuarial and finance operations. You will analyze complex business needs, translate them into scalable solutions, and collaborate with Actuarial, Finance, and Technology teams to enable data-driven decisions across downstream reporting, modeling, and operations.

In this role, you’ll drive modernization of actuarial data platforms on AWS, support Agile delivery, and mentor other analysts while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting actuarial/finance or complex financial systems.
• Strong knowledge of annuity products and related actuarial processes.
• Advanced SQL and data analysis to validate rules and support reporting.
• Experience with Agile environments using JIRA, Confluence, and AI-enabled tooling.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills; ability to work independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Actuarial, Finance, Reinsurance, and Technology teams to analyze processes and translate needs into scalable tech solutions.
• Perform hands-on data analysis to validate business rules and support downstream reporting and modeling.
• Drive modernization initiatives by improving actuarial data platforms and AWS-based data solutions.
• Support Agile delivery with user stories, acceptance criteria, documentation, testing, and production support.
• Mentor other analysts and promote best practices across the team.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis, documentation, and delivery efficiency.
