Job summary

Athene is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (Actuarial IT) to help modernize the technology powering one of the industry\'s fastest-growing retirement services organizations. You\'ll partner with Actuarial, Finance, and Technology teams to analyze complex business challenges, translate requirements into scalable solutions, and support actuarial data, finance, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting actuarial, finance, or complex financial systems.
• Strong knowledge of annuity products, including Fixed Annuities (FA) and Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIA).
• Advanced SQL and data analysis experience to validate complex rules and support reporting.
• Experience with cloud-based data modernization initiatives, preferably AWS.
• Experience in Agile environments using JIRA, Confluence, and AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes with Actuarial, Finance, Reinsurance, and Technology stakeholders to translate needs into scalable technology solutions.
• Perform hands-on data analysis using SQL to validate rules and support downstream reporting, modeling, and decision-making.
• Drive modernization of actuarial data platforms and AWS-based data solutions and system integrations.
• Support Agile delivery by creating user stories, acceptance criteria, documentation, testing, and production support while promoting continuous improvement.
• Mentor and support Business Systems Analysts to elevate quality and consistency across the team.
