Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Principal Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to deliver technical data support for Actuarial financial data systems and Marts. You will lead in requirements, data definitions, and business rule implementation to support financial data accuracy.

The role emphasizes data analysis, performance of monthly data refreshes, QA checks for executive reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a hybrid-flex environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree is required where applicable.
• 8+ years of experience in related fields.
• In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex decision support data solutions, data extracts, and data marts across the full development life cycle.
• Perform monthly data refreshes, validations, automations, and QA checks for executive financial reporting.
• Maintain and optimize Actuarial Systems Data Marts.
• Lead multiple application areas: data definitions, file structure, and requirements.
• Analyze business challenges; develop recommendations, implement solutions, and report results.
• Establish vendor and interdepartmental relationships to ensure data accuracy.
