Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an Actuarial Analyst or Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Property Reserving team with a focus on Crop and Surety, based in Schaumburg, IL or other Zurich locations.

The role includes quarterly reserve analyses, IFRS 17 components, governance materials, and collaboration across underwriting, claims, finance and pricing. A mix of exams and degrees qualifies for the two levels and a hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree.
• Bachelor's Degree with 3.0 GPA and no actuarial experience required.
• Successful completion of actuarial exams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quarterly premium & loss reserve analyses and IFRS 17 components.
• Assist in materials for quarterly reserve governance committee.
• Ensure reserves and IFRS 17 appear in close process.
• Perform loss ratio planning and forecasting with IFRS 17 elements.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Pricing for insights.
• Communicate reserve recommendations with financial impact to management.
