THREE Insurance, part of Berkshire Hathaway Direct Insurance Company, is seeking an Associate Actuary in Stamford, CT for a hybrid role with two in-office days weekly. You will lead state filings, support pricing and product initiatives, and work closely with underwriting and actuarial teams on rate and policy systems testing.

The role requires actuarial pricing/reserving experience in P&C, familiarity with rate filings, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of actuarial pricing/reserving experience in Property & Casualty insurance.
• Experience with rate filings is preferred.
• Passing the CAS Ratemaking exam (Exam 5) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory rate filings and system rate implementations for commercial lines.
• Define and execute a long-term filings transformation roadmap.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Product, Technology, and Insurance regulators to improve efficiency and quality.
• Identify opportunities to use automation and analytics to convert filing data into insights.
• Represent THREE with regulators, auditors, and external partners as needed.
• Contribute to rate indications, reserving analyses and profitability studies across lines.
• Develop solutions for liquor liability and catastrophe-exposed perils with actuarial input.
• Present analyses and recommendations to influence decisions.
