Job summary

THREE Insurance, part of Berkshire Hathaway, seeks an Associate Actuary to drive pricing, business analysis, and product development for assigned lines. You will partner with underwriting and product teams and lead technical work from analysis through implementation.

The role offers exposure to multiple coverages and a path toward actuarial credentials within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial insurtech setting in Stamford, CT.

Qualifications

• Pursuing ACAS designation.
• 5+ years actuarial pricing/reserving in Property & Casualty.
• Proficiency with SQL, R, Python, and VBA.

Responsibilities

• Lead rate indications, reserving analyses, profitability studies across lines from analysis to implementation.
• Support pricing and product development for multiple lines, including liquor liability and catastrophe-exposed perils.
• Assist the development and filing of rate changes with regulatory bodies.
• Apply actuarial expertise to develop effective, well-informed solutions.
• Identify and implement improved methods to enhance team effectiveness.
• Present analyses and recommendations to influence decisions across levels.
• Maintain documentation enabling others to reproduce the work.
• Mentor and support junior analysts.
