Job summary

The Resident of North Ridge in New Hope, MN is hiring an Activities and Transportation Assistant to support the TR program and meet residents’ physical, mental, and social needs. Responsibilities include planning activity programs, coordinating outings and transporting residents, conducting one-to-one visits, and assisting with events while maintaining records and safety checks.

This full-time role runs 9am–5:30pm.

Qualifications

• Must be 24+ years old with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no revocations, suspensions, or cancellations in the last 5 years).
• Ability to pass an MN DOT physical.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct activity programs under direct supervision.
• Assist with outings.
• Recruit and transport residents to programs.
• Conduct one to one therapeutic visits with residents.
• Assist in planning special events.
• Responsible for a caseload of residents and records daily attendance.
• Gives input for care/family conferences.
• Assisting with decorations and publicity of therapeutic programs.
• Pre-trip safety checks.
• Keeping your vehicle in top shape.
• Reporting any maintenance needs.
