Job summary

River Ridge Living Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Recreation Department in delivering engaging programs that promote residents' physical, emotional, and social wellness. You will assist the Activities Director in planning and implementing daily activities and ensuring residents' enjoyment and participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with older people preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn - training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and delivering daily recreational activities that enhance resident engagement.
• Lead group and individual activities, ensuring participation and enjoyment for all residents.
• Provide one-on-one visits to residents who may need personalized attention.
• Transport residents safely to and from activities and events.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in all activity areas.
• Collaborate effectively with staff across departments to ensure quality resident experience.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Recreation.
