Job summary

Certus Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Recreation Aide to implement and lead the facility's recreation activities under the Recreation Director's supervision. You will engage residents in familiar daily routines and provide encouragement, prompts, and hands-on assistance to create meaning and purpose.

You will coordinate programs from the monthly calendar, assist with newsletters, transport residents to events, and support volunteers while maintaining records and safeguarding resident

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Experience with senior groups or leading group activities preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with various types of arts and crafts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements Recreation Programs as scheduled and ensures programs run timely and at designated locations.
• Assists in completion of the Recreation Calendar and Facility newsletter as assigned.
• Reschedules programs and updates the calendar after approval from the Recreation Director.
• Implements One-on-One and Room Visit Programs and documents visits accurately.
• Maintains records of resident participation in group and one-on-one programs.
• Reports changes in resident conditions or interests to the Recreation Director.
• Promotes the Volunteer Program and assists with volunteer training.
