Job summary

Health Care Management Group is seeking an Activities Aide to assist in planning and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents in a long-term care or assisted living setting.

You will work with the Activities Director to tailor programs to individual needs, lead group activities, and promote social, physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being among residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in activities coordination preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to work with elderly in healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning daily, weekly, and monthly activity schedules for residents.
• Lead and facilitate group activities (games, arts and crafts, music, exercise, events).
• Encourage resident participation and tailor activities to abilities and interests.
• Maintain safety and monitor mood and health during activities.
• Document attendance, preferences, and participation levels.
• Set up activity spaces and ensure a welcoming environment; clean up after activities.
• Assist with special events and coordinate with volunteers and staff.
