Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Thermal Engineer to own active thermal components for the MK1 Lunar Lander, from concept through flight operations. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams and the thermal analysis group to mature designs and deliver testable hardware.

Requirements include a B.S. in engineering, 5+ years in thermal engineering, CAD (Creo) proficiency, and hands-on hardware testing experience; strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant Thermal Engineering experience.
• Expertise in thermal and fluid design fundamentals.
• Experience building and testing thermal hardware.
• Understanding aerospace hardware verification and validation process.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop module and vehicle level active thermal components and assemblies from conception through development and flight operations.
• Support internal or external development of active thermal components and assemblies.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline product teams to mature designs.
• Work with the thermal analysis group.
• Produce specifications, test plans, and reports.
• Analyze thermal performance using diverse methods including Thermal Desktop.
