Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Thermal Engineer to lead active thermal components for the MK1 Lunar Lander, from conception through flight operations. You will design modules, test hardware, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mature vehicle designs and ensure verification across the thermal analysis group.

The role requires 5+ years in thermal engineering, CAD experience (Creo), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering; 5+ years in thermal engineering.
• Expertise in thermal and fluid design fundamentals; hardware testing experience.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (Creo) and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop module and vehicle level active thermal components and assemblies.
• Support development of active thermal components and assemblies.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline product teams and thermal analysis group.
• Work with specifications, mission environments, and manufacturing standards.
• Produce specs, test plans and reports; analyze thermal performance.
• Develop short- and long-term development plans; make make-or-buy decisions.
